(Think Uber + Airbnb for Local Pros)
OFFSHIFT works a lot like apps you already know—Uber, DoorDash, Airbnb—but for Charleston’s off-duty chefs, bartenders, musicians and instructors. Pros post when they’re free, you pick your date, and OFFSHIFT handles the booking and payments in the middle.
For Clients
Pick your date and what you’re looking for—private dinner, cocktails, live music, lessons or a new experience. We show you OFFSHIFT Pros who are actually off and available that day.
You send a booking request through OFFSHIFT, just like requesting a ride or placing an order. The Pro confirms, and your card is charged through our secure payment system.
There’s a small service fee on top of the Pro’s rate, similar to Uber or DoorDash. This keeps the platform running, supports support and insurance, and lets us keep OffShift curated and safe.
For Pros
You’re an independent contractor, not an employee. You post your OFFSHIFT availability, set your own rates, and choose only the gigs you want—no schedules, no uniforms, no manager assigning shifts.
When a client books you, OFFSHIFT collects payment up front. You see the total, including our service fee, before you accept—so there are no surprises.
You receive your payout after the booking is completed, similar to how drivers and hosts are paid on Uber or Airbnb. Reliable Pros can unlock better placement, perks and lower fees over time.
